About Copper Sulfate
Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate is the most common sulfate salt of copper. Its striking bright blue color is visually captivating. It is also known as Cupric Sulfate, Copper Sulfite, blue vitriol or Bluestone. It’s effective at killing fungus and bacteria in crops.
1. Manufacturing Process:
In the production of copper sulfate, virgin copper is seldom used as the starting raw material. For the bulk of the world’s production, non-ferrous scrap is the raw material used. By heating copper scrap with sulfur to produce copper sulfide which is then oxidized to form copper sulfate.
